I don't do much mommy blogging lately. My oldest child is 25, a well-launched adult. I also have a "child" turning 23 this week, and if I can't quite cross him off as "launched" it's okay, he's on the right track and doing pretty well for a very young adult.  The youngest is 16 and very involved in his own world right now. As part of the renovation of my office space, we are redoing the wallpaper that goes from the foyer down the hall and up the stairs. It is a LOT of wallpaper. I have a Russian Sage that isn't doing well where it's planted.  I really wanted to move it to the west side of our property, but the only thing that grows there is a little bit of thyme on top of rocks.  It's crying out for some color over there.  It's the perfect location for that plant I want to move.  But.  It's solid ledge ( Read more... )

Small Boy got an 89 in "Culinary Arts" last term. He isn't sure why - he likes cooking and participates actively. He wonders if it is because of field-trip related absences. He wants to ask but doesn't want to be "that kid". Except he is worried about not getting into MIT because of it ( Read more... )

Small Boy has a tight group of friends in high school, many of whom we have brought to Maine with us at various times.
